Our body, mind, and emotions express our unique personal history.

Somatic Psychotherapy integrates psychological and somatic experience into the psychotherapy process. A unique feature of this approach is a focus on “here and now” experience that finds the past in the present clearly and quickly. This, in turn, deepens and enriches the psychological reflection and emotional exploration of the psychotherapy process.

I have been practicing and teaching psychotherapy for nearly four decades. In that time, I have been a continuous learner, investigating an expanding my understanding of the complexities of the human lifespan, always curious about how our physical bodies inform our psychology. My practice is in Oakland, California.

It is amazing how many hints and guides and intuitions for living come to the sensitive person who has ears to hear what his body is saying.
